During the 2026 CICPE Sanya Boat Festival, the association announced the signing of strategic cooperation agreements with yachting associations from Thailand and Hong Kong, as well as Qingdao, Ningbo, Shenzhen and Xiamen.
The collaboration focuses on cross-regional coordination, covering industry information sharing, international market expansion, joint exhibition initiatives, and the development of talent and service systems. Through a regular communication mechanism, the parties aim to improve resource integration and global connectivity within China's yachting industry.
At the international level, cooperation with the Thai yachting sector provides a more direct gateway for Chinese companies into Southeast Asian markets. Domestically, collaboration among multiple regional associations is expected to address fragmentation and inconsistency, building a more structured and coordinated approach to overseas expansion.
Leveraging the policy advantages of the Hainan Free Trade Port, Sanya is evolving from a traditional display and transaction platform into an industry organisation and service hub. This multi-party signing marks the initial formation of an association-driven collaboration framework.
