Tangrong Yacht Industrial
Association visitA Taiwan-invested enterprise established in 2002 in the Haicang Investment Zone, Xiamen, on an 80,000 m² site. The team carries roughly forty years of combined experience across Taiwan and the mainland. It is an experience-led, craft-led yard.
Its defining relationship is with Nordhavn: the yard builds the Nordhavn 40, 47, 55, 75, 86 and 120, designed by Pacific Asian Enterprises (P.A.E.) of the United States. Output is stated as entirely for export to Europe, the United States and elsewhere. Nordhavn is among the most recognised long-range cruising names in the world, and this is the clearest single example in this directory of a Chinese yard building at that level under an established international brand.
Its strength is manufacturing rather than marketing. The yard is candid that brand communication, English-language market engagement and international promotion receive comparatively limited investment — a characteristic it shares with much of the Chinese industry.
Two manufacturing characteristics stand out. Joinery and interior work is repeatedly cited as well ahead of peers, spanning solid timber, light and dark walnut, veneers, lacquer and wall fabrics — genuine custom integration rather than a single templated approach, which at larger sizes is a core competitive advantage. Material specification runs thick and solid, with some overseas brand programmes explicitly refusing short-stock jointing. The selling point is not surface appearance but long-term durability.
