Silver Yachts is an aluminium superyacht specialist, built around lightweight construction, maintainability, long range and expedition capability. It is design-led: Espen Oeino co-founded the company in the mid-2000s and serves as designer and strategic partner; the first joint project was the 74 m *Silver*.
The SpaceCat (also referred to as SilverCat) is the current priority series — an aluminium catamaran with a low-resistance hull, three decks and an aft swimming pool. The 36 m was the first built and sold quickly to an Asian client, which prompted development of 22 m and 24 m hulls. On the 36 m, beam is around 13.3 m with more than 534 m² of living space; four IPS drives give roughly 24 knots maximum and around 12 knots cruise with 300 nautical miles. Once standardised, build time can come down to around twenty months where changes are limited. Larger Super / Explorer / Support platforms address expedition requirements at the top of the market.
